Jean is a retired emergency medicine physician who practiced and taught for 48 years, primarily at University of Colorado Hospital’s medical campus. In addition, she taught ethics in the training program for professionals in hospice and palliative care and led the ethics consultation service there. She has lectured regionally and nationally about ethics and professionalism issues in emergency medicine and other clinical practice settings through the Center for Bioethics and Humanities. Jean serves on multiple community and hospice ethics committees.
